• Wash your hands and if needed wear lab gloves to reduce cross contamination.
• Prepare and clean your work area. Make sure it is safe and clean and there are no outside contaminants. These may cause you to have incorrect test results.

• Confirm the units on the tests match up with units and parameters you need to test for. If you need to measure parts per million or ppm make sure the test will do that.
