Castor Oil is a specialty vegetable oil derived from castor beans. The beans are harvested and then pressed to make the oil.
Castor oil and its derivatives are used in the manufacturing of all kinds of products from detergent soaps for hard surface cleaning, to hydraulic fluid additives, and even additives for making things as diverse as coatings and adhesives. It also finds uses as a carrier for dyes used in textiles.
