Phosphoric Acid 85% Food Grade
Phosphoric Acid 85% Food Grade is a concentrated, high-purity form of phosphoric acid that contains 85% pure phosphoric acid and 15% water by weight. It meets the safety and purity standards set by food safety authorities for use in food processing. It is an acidulant that adds tartness and adjusts pH in foods and beverages, a preservative that helps inhibit microbial growth, and a flavor enhancer that provides a sharp taste in processed foods. While hazardous, it is relatively non-volatile and stable at elevated temperatures. It is also milder than Hydrochloric Acid, Nitric Acid, or Sulphuric Acid.
