Sodium C 14 - 16 Olefin Sulfonate AOS 40 Surfactant
Sodium C 14 - 16 Olefin Sulfonate is an anionic alpha olefin sulfonate surfactant. It is referred to as " AOS 40%". It is a 40% solution. It has an environmentally friendly profile since it is biodegradable and listed on the "Safer Chemical" list of the EPA.
AOS 40 is generally considered to be an excellent high foaming surfactant with good emulsification power and an excellent choice for manufacturing high performance industrial and commercial cleaners, power washing and car wash formulations. Great for all kinds of cleaning and degreasing.
Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate (AOS 40) is considered an excellent foaming surfactant for creating foam in cleaners, including foaming bleach formulations. It's known for its high foaming power and good emulsification, making it a suitable choice for power washing and for other heavy duty cleaning and degreasing.
Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate AOS 40 (Alpha Olefin Sulfonate 40%) is generally considered bleach stable since it performs well in alkaline environments, including pH levels consistent with bleach solutions (10–13). It is less likely to cause off-gassing or instability when mixed with bleach compared to nonionic or amphoteric surfactants.

For a soft-wash or foam-cleaning solutiontry -

Water: roughly 85–90%

Bleach (12.5%): diluted to 3–6% in final mix

AOS 40: add 0.5–1.0% for foam generation

(Optional): Add thickener, fragrance, or dye as needed
Always add bleach last, and use low-pressure spray to apply, followed by a rinse. Do not add any other ingredients like vinegar or other non compatibles. Test. This formulation is only a suggestion and starting point.
