Malic Acid
Malic Acid has a clean, smooth taste and persistent sourness, allowing it to be blended with multiple food acids, sugars, high intensity sweeteners and flavours to create unique taste experiences. Sometimes used in place of citric acid which is less sour.
Malic Acid is also used in wine making allowing dull flavors to come forward and aid in fermentation.
*Malic Acid is not intended for use in wines that will undergo a malolactic fermentation as the malic acid will be converted to lactic.
