Sodium Benzoate FCC Grade (Food Grade)
Sodium Benzoate is a sodium salt of benzoic acid. It is often used as a preservative in food and beverages. Sodium Benzoate exhibits anti-fungal properties and prevents food from spoiling. It also add acidity. It is widely used in soft drinks for these purposes and increases flavor in foods such as pickles, jams, fruit juices, and sauces. It has a typical pH of 7.0-8.5 at 144.1 g/l at 25°C. It is water soluble at 630 g/l .
Storage and Handling: Sodium Benzoate is stable under normal conditions but should be kept away from moisture during storage.
