Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate
Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate (Technical grade)
Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate is a natural mineral used in a variety of applications. It is a natural mineral produced by the evaporation of sea water.
It is used to add minerals to waters (not for consumption) since it is a source for magnesium. When dissolved, it dissociates into magnesium ions (Mg²⁺) and chloride ions (Cl⁻). The magnesium ions are key for potentially increasing the magnesium content in water.
Because of it's exothermic reaction with water, magnesium chloride is useful for melting ice in low-temperatures.
