Sodium Thiosulfate Pentahydrate Crystals
Sodium Thiosulfate Pentahydrate is a large crystalline product that is readily soluble in water. It is frequently used in water treatment to remove chlorine. It can even be used as an exothermic phase change agent in hot packs. Sodium Thiosulfate is one of the few chemicals that will dissolve silver bromide, which makes it very useful in photography procedures. In gold mining, Sodium Thiosulfate is used in place of Cyanide to leach gold from ore, which is cheaper and more environmentally friendly.
