Sodium Alginate FG
Sodium Alginate FG is derived from brown seaweeds. It provides a variety of functionality in food products including gel formation, viscosity, and stability. It can be used in food and beverages in a method called "direct spherification," that when combined with a small percentage of calcium forms spheres with a liquid gel center and a gel memebrane. Sodium Alginate also has no discernible flavor or odor and can also be used to create foam. This Sodium Alginate is 170 mesh size.
