Oxalic Acid

Oxalic Acid's most known use is to remove iron oxide or rust stains from metal surfaces. However, Oxalic Acid can also be used as a laundry rinse, wood-bleaching agent, calcium remover, paint remover, in ink manufacture, ink stain removal, cleaning and polishing stones, developing photographic film, and in dyeing textiles.  It is also a useful tool for beekeepers.  Oxalic Acid is the best tool to use when colonies are broodless. For example, it can be applied to new packages, and it is often used with success to clean up mites in the fall after bees have stopped brood rearing.
