Cocamidopropyl Betaine

Cocamidopropyl Betaine is an amphoteric surfactant that provides excellent performance benefits across a wide range of formulations. It is commonly used in household and institutional cleaners to boost cleaning power while improving mildness. It is also widely valued in personal care products for its gentle cleansing, foam enhancement, and conditioning properties.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine (CAPB) is an excellent flash foamer that delivers strong, stable foam. It also acts as an effective viscosity builder in SLS- and SLES-based formulations and remains unaffected by hard water. CAPB is highly versatile and compatible with anionic, nonionic, cationic, and other amphoteric surfactants.

Level 7 Chemical also offers Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate, also known as Sodium Laureth Sulfate. SLES is commonly used in combination with Cocamidopropyl Betaine (CAPB) in personal care formulations. When paired together, these surfactants work in unison to enhance foam, improve product texture, and significantly reduce the potential skin irritation associated with SLES alone. This combination creates a gentler, richer, and more stable cleansing system and is a staple in mainstream formulations where balanced performance and mildness are essential.
