Stearic Acid Triple Pressed 55 Lb Bag
Stearic Acid Triple Pressed is a long-chain saturated fatty acid. It is a 18-carbon straight chain with a terminal carboxylic acid (–COOH). Stearic acid is used for all kinds of specialty formulations in many industries from personal care to specialty lubricants and compounds for cleaning and maintenance.
Triple pressed stearic acid (TPSA) is the result of what is called the "triple pressing process" which means the product has been pressed mechanically three times, removing more impurities, with the result being purer product with higher consistency and performance.
In peronal care products like lotions and other skin care products it acts as a thickening agent and emulsifier that leaves a smoother, non-greasy feel, enhancing texture, helping with hydration, plus aids in stability.
