Caustic Soda beads, chemical name "Sodium Hydroxide", has uses in all kinds of commercial,industrial, chemical manufacturing processes, and food preparation. It is generally used as a solid or a 50% solution. Caustic in bead form specific applications include bleaching, metal cleaning and processing, making cleaners and degreasers for cleaning metal, and cleaning grease hoods in restaurants. It also uses in paper manufacturing, has uses in the petroleum industry, adjusting pH in water and many other chemical processes. It is commonly present in commercial drain and oven cleaners
Caustic Soda is deliquescent, dissolving in water, and hygroscopic (attracts moisture). The bead is ~3/4 millimeter in diameter.
This type of Caustic Soda from Level 7 is lest dusty than the flake form of Sodium Hydroxide which means easier handling.
