If you need to increase the pH of your pool or spa, Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) is a great option! The ideal pH level for a pool is between 7.4-7.6. As a general rule, about 6 ounces of soda ash in a 10,000 gallon pool will raise the pH level by 0.2. It is recommended that you make a solution first (fill a bucket half way with your pool or spa water then add the soda ash and stir until fully dissolved) then add the solution to your pool or spa, distributing evenly.
