Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate SLES (70%) with 2 Mol EO Drum

Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate also known as sodium laureth sulfate 70 (2 Mol Ethylene Oxide / EO) is a popular anionic surfactant of choice used in all kinds of hard surface cleaners, transportation cleaners, carpet and textile applications and personal care products. SLES is an excellent foaming surfactant. It is relatively unaffected by changing water hardness, which is very beneficial when making cleaner formulations.

Since Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate has the added ether, personal care products made with it are less irritating and milder for skin and hair products. This addition makes it the ideal choice for making quality high foaming products like bubble bath, shower gel, shampoo, facial cleansers, and liquid hand cleaners.

It finds other uses in household cleaners for fabric care, hand dish wash, and also car care

Viscosity of formulations can be increased by addition of amides or betaines which will also serve to improve foam stability.

Level 7 Chemical also offers Cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) often used with Sodium Lauryl Ether sulfate in many personal care products. It acts as a secondary surfactant to enhance foam, improve texture, and significantly reduce the potential skin irritation caused by the primary SLES. This combination of surfactants creates a gentler, richer, and more stable cleansing system, a staple in mainstream formulations for balanced performance and mildness.
